A fresh way to help The Lighthouse Family Retreat is the best reason to sign up for team Lighthouse this winter season! Grab your running gear and pack your bags, Team Lighthouse is heading to the Seaside Half Marathon on March 7th, 2010 and wants participants to join their team. Team Lighthouse will be running to benefit The Lighthouse Family Retreat, a non-profit organization that serves children with cancer and their families at a seaside retreat helping them to laugh, restore family relationships and find hope in God.
Participating in the race as part of Team Lighthouse is the newest way to help children with cancer and their families. The funds that are raised as part of the event will help families attend a retreat at no cost. The goal is to raise enough money to send 24 families to The Lighthouse ( more than $50,000!) There is still plenty of time to train and this is a super way for families, groups and friends to get in shape and support a great cause. Just follow the simple steps to get signed up on their website at www.lighthousefamilyretreat.org and look for the Team Lighthouse logo.
