*At 8:45AM, Ida was downgraded to a Tropical Storm.*
11AM *All Walton county schools will be closed Tuesday, November 10, due to Tropical Storm Ida* Schools are also closed Wednesday in observance of Veteran's Day*
*All non-essential Walton County Government offices will be closed beginning Monday, November 9 at noon through Wednesday, November 12. County government offices are closed Wednesday in observance of Veterans Day.
*Double Red flags are flying at coastal beaches meaning the water is CLOSED to the public. Please stay out of and away from the water.

Thankfully, as of this posting, Ida has been downgraded to Tropical Storm status and the only ones I can see who are visibility excited are the good folks on The Weather Channel (this IS what they live for, right??). Looks like it will be a pretty uneventful landfall - some rain ... some wind ... maybe a power outage here and there and hopefully not too much beach erosion. {{breath out}}
