Coastal Living Magazine Highlights YOLO Board YOLO Board LLC is featured in the October 2009 issue of Coastal Living Magazine. YOLO Board - a hybrid-style stand-up paddleboard (SUP) company founded in 2006 in Santa Rosa Beach, - is recognized in a two-page article titled ‘Get on Board!’ Exclusive behind-the-scenes photos and commentary from the interview and photo shoot are also showcased online at the ‘Daily Catch’ blog on the publication’s website.
“Producing the YOLO shoot in Seagrove, FL, earlier this summer was one of the most fun photo shoots I've had the opportunity to work on,” added Steele Marcoux, Design Editor at Coastal Living. “Stand up paddling is like nothing else I’ve experienced—tranquil yet exciting, calming while seriously working the core muscles. I've been hooked ever since—I even convinced my husband and some friends to try it on our vacation.”
The article written by Mary Katherine Stump and photographed by Colleen Duffley, of Studio B in Alys Beach, details the inception of the locally owned stand-up paddleboard company. The profile was shot on location in South Walton and features beautiful photography of the area’s beaches and rare coastal dune lakes.
“We are honored to be featured in such a well-read and respected publication,” said Jeff Archer, co-founder of YOLO Board. “Coastal Living is a magazine that truly embodies the coastal lifestyle, and we feel their interest in YOLO – and stand-up paddling as a whole – is a testament that the SUP movement is quickly catching on across the country.”
