We all know the type - those amongst us who exude an infectious joie de vivre and zest for new and exciting life experiences...those who you just feel good being around. Angela Ragsdale is one of these people and I feel incredibly lucky to call her a friend.
Angela and her husband, Mike, moved to this slice of coastal paradise two-years ago from Birmingham and founded the popular local websites 30A.com and, most recently, 30AStars.com. Angela wears many hats - Mom to four great kids ages 9- to 19-years; Career Woman - besides assisting in publishing and marketing the 30A websites and brand, she also works part-time at WaterColor Workout Fitness Center; Yogini - Angela is in a year-long yoga certification and immersion program; and Fitness Enthusiast - she is working towards becoming a Personal Trainer and is currently training for the Seaside Half Marathon in March.
I caught up with Angela for this weeks Q & A. Enjoy!

How long have you lived in South Walton? You were born and raised in....?
We moved here two-and-a-half years ago from Birmingham. I was born in Tacoma, Washington but have lived all over the South and Midwest. This is the 32nd home and my 8th state that I’ve lived in!
You already live at the beach - where do you vacation?
We LOVE to travel! Some of my personal favorite destinations include Italy, France, China, Costa Rica and just about anywhere in the Caribbean. Ironically though, my all-time favorite is Disney World. It’s a small world after all, I guess.
What book(s) is on your nightstand?
There are several, including The Power of Now, Eclipse (the third book in the Twilight series) and lots of different yoga books. Oh, and Glamour magazine, just to keep it fun and frivolous.
If you were to come back as someone else, who would you be?
Giselle Bundchen. Enough said!
What is your single greatest achievement so far?
Aside from being married for 14 years, I would have to say raising our four healthy, beautiful children.
What is your favorite restaurant in South Walton?
There are so many wonderful places here, and we love trying something new every time we go out. But if I can only pick one, I really enjoy Café Tango. It’s always a treat.
What 2 things can you not live without?
My family (including Bogey--my precious pooch--of course), and a good moisturizer.
What would you do if you won $1 million?
I would donate part of it to a good cause, save part of it for my kids' weddings, and expand our travel budget with whatever is left.
If you could change one thing about yourself, it would be...
I would teach myself to love laundry. In a household of 6, it always stockpiles, so if I loved it, maybe, just maybe, I'd always stay ahead of the game.
You are granted one wish. What is it?
I'd wish for a million more wishes, of course! Or is that against the genie rules?
The best thing about South Walton is....
I love the gorgeous sunrises and sunsets. On my off-days, we watch the sun rise over the bay while enjoying coffee in our sun room. On work-days, I watch it rise over Western Lake as I drive into work. How can you lose?
What is the greatest love in your life?
Mike Ragsdale
What are the most important qualities in a friend?
Trust, honesty and a great sense of humor. My friends are so very special and important in my life.
Would you say happiness is found or made?
Both, but I think some people are more predisposed than others to recognize the true happiness that’s ever-present in everyone’s life.
