Laissez les bon temps rouler! Fat Tuesday Festivities in South Walton! It's Fat Tuesday, folks, the day before before Ash Wednesday, and the last in the Mardi Gras Carnival that takes place every year, not just in New Orleans, but all over the world. A day to eat special foods (and drink special things!) before the fasting season of Lent, there are a few places to get your fill around South Walton:
- 7th Annual Fat Tuesday Baytowne Bash Parade at Baytowne Wharf in Sandestin | Floats, golf carts, and pick-up trucks roll down the streets and marchers dressed up in all their Mardi Gras best shower parade-goers with a barrage of beads, moon pies, and other trinkets. The post-parade celebration continues into the night with street performers, “throws” tossed from balconies on Main St, and parties at various Baytowne establishments. Enjoy live tunes from the The Fricasse Band, a six person cajun band from Lafayette, Louisiana from 4-7pm, Call (850) 267-8117 for more information.
- Fat Tuesday Authentic New Orleans' Buffet at Restaurant Fire Read all the fine details on SoWalDining.com.
