From the South Walton Police Blotter - Santa Rosa Beach Business Break-in [February 8, 2010]

The Walton County Sheriff’s Office is looking for the person, or persons who broke into adjacent businesses in South Walton County over the weekend.  On Sunday morning, an employee at Barnes Health Care on U.S. Highway 98 West in Santa Rosa Beach noticed that the that the back door was busted open. It was determined that someone had gone through drawers and opened files.

Several items including a cash register, coffee maker, and radio were taken.  The total value of the stolen property is around $400.  During that investigation, a Walton County Sheriff’s Deputy noted that the back door of Builder’s Showcase was also open. There were several ransacked drawers inside the business, but nothing appeared to be taken.

The scene had been secured, and a Walton County Sheriff’s Investigator was called in to gather evidence in the break-ins.   If you may have information on the case, contact the Walton County Sheriff’s Office at 892-8186, or Crimestoppers of Walton County’s toll free line at 1-866-718-TIPS (8477).
